WHATEVER YOU DO, DON'T GIVE UP!

Yes, you can cry, you can feel discouraged, you can grow weary, you can sneak into having a cheat meal, you can skip a workout session... You can go the wrong route when on your weight loss journey, but never let all that get you to the stage where you completely throw in the towel.
By the time you hit your late twenties, weight loss becomes tough. And by the time you're forty and above it gets even tougher. Some find it less challenging than others but there still remains a huge challenge. The key to seeing results is to keep at it for as long as possible. Consistency is key. When trying to lose weight, you could be among those who see huge loss of kilos from the first few weeks. You could even be among those who do not start out with huge figures falling off but in the long run it all pays off. Whichever group you fall into you must prepare yourself for the plateau week(s). This is the period where your body just isn't responding like the previous months. The scale digits don't change and you begin to feel like your efforts are in vain. Pause. That could be a sign that you need to switch things up. You may need to cut off a few more calories - just about 200 calories (that's basically like ditching chicken/turkey and doing just fresh fish). You could also switch up your workout regime. After doing the same workouts for a few months, they become less challenging, therefore less effective. Do more. Try weightlifting. Step up from 30mins to 45mins, add in an extra workout day. A Plateau can cause you to feel discouraged and you may want to give up but please don't. Instead, push harder and in no time you'll stand in front of the mirror with a beaming smile on your face because you know you did it!
I have a lot to say about weight loss and fitness because I am on this journey myself. So I would break it up in parts for the first month of the new year :)
