FUN IDEAS FOR KIDS THIS SUMMER (FOR BONDING TOO)

Summer holiday is here again and there are three words that a mom quickly becomes familiar with – “Mummy, I’m bored!” Sorry if you thought it was the commonly acclaimed I LOVE YOU. There really is nothing romantic about being stuck at home with little ones for two and a half months! Every parent dreads the long break because quite frankly, an adult needs some adult space but they are left with no choice but to be hovered by these little agents of constant-seeking-fun. It is intense. From wanting to snack every hour, revamping every corner of the house, to devising means to elope with the remote control, a parent with very good intentions could start to consider putting up their child for adoption. I have never found more sense in the quote, “If you fail to plan, you plan to fail” as much as I did last summer. What do I imply? Plan. Plan. And plan. WHAT YOU NEED IS WITHIN YOU

  There is a force that is deeper than light’s push. A staggering thrust that propels you into motion. No one can teach it, no one can reach it. It lives and breathes only on the inside of you. Do you know what it is? Drive. Drive is man’s innate ability to push until the desired goal is reached. Drive is what you have that causes you to move in the direction destiny has carved out for you. You can’t explain it, you can’t question it either. You just know it is bubbling up on the inside of you. To turn away from it is to invite emptiness. To run too fast and go ahead of it is to dine with danger. Your drive is just enough for your life’s journey, and nothing is big enough to truly quench its flames. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME...

GRATITUDE. That's the word that sums up the state of my heart as I step into my 31st year on planet earth.  When I say I have come a long way, I don't mean it cheaply - God, indeed, has brought me a long way. It has been a journey of learning and growing, and I am at a point where I know I am not who I was before. I always heard people say, "God never uses an untested vessel..." So when I consider all the tests and trials I have been through, I count it all JOY. It means God has use of me. I am available, Lord.  Today is all about glorifying my Creator for all HE has done for me, all HE is doing and all HE has done that are yet to be manifested in physical. OVERNIGHT SUCCESS?

It is very funny how people use the phrase - 'overnight success'. You hear of someone who just made it 'overnight' as if they had been sleeping since. Many-a-times, the so-called stars we fall in love with have had years of honing their skills in one way or the other. The fact that you just discovered them this morning does not mean it was their first effort. It could have been their third, twentieth or even hundredth venture in that field. It would be disastrous to sit lazily on your bed waiting for that 'big break'. Nope. You will only ruin yourself. Get up off your butt and WORK! It's great to have big dreams but what have you done with the little ones? Do you not realize that it is little drops of water that make a great river? To really succeed, you must be diligent and remain consistent consistently . TAMARA'S TEN COMMANDMENTS FOR ATTENDING A DANCE FITNESS CLASS

Hi ladies, I started taking Dance fitness at a gym two weeks ago and I immediately realized there is a need to outline some "commandments" that should be followed.  Here are a number of things to take note of when you want to attend a Dance fitness/Cardio session: 1.  THOU SHALT PACKAGE WELL! This is certainly my main point. Look, I am not 'heavily endowed' but before I do anything cardio, I endeavour to package myself. I wear a regular bra, a half-top kinda bra and then I wear a sports bra before putting on my top/t-shirt. Yes, I do all this overload and when I jump you still see boobs shaking a little. So imagine if I didn't wear all these? Or even imagine I'm heavier on top?! Sisters please and please, don't come for class loosely. Doesn't it hurt???
