LIVING WITHOUT FEAR
“Fear not [there is nothing to fear], for I am with you; do not look around you in terror and be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen and harden you to difficulties, yes, I will help you; yes, I will hold you up and retain you with My [victorious] right hand of rightness and justice.” – Isaiah 41:10 (Amplified Bible, Classic Edition)
You Are ‘Hard’
Enough For This!
Do you sometimes feel like you are not cut out for some of the curves
life throws you? It is natural to fall into the trap of the enemy and think
less of yourself and your abilities when you have a huge opposing force in
front of you. But guess what? God is with you! He never left and He is not
planning to leave anytime soon. God makes it very clear in His Word that He is
not just with you in frightening times, but He gives you enough strength to go
through those times and come out victorious.
Often when we face challenges, our prayers can sound like, “Lord please
get me out of this. It is too overwhelming for me. I can’t make it!”
Interestingly, God is not swayed by emotions. His will is to ‘harden us to
difficulties’, which means – He will not remove you from every hard situation.
Instead, He will leave you there so you can learn how to be hard - spiritually,
mentally, and even physically. His goal is to get you to be strong enough to
surmount any level of difficulty that is thrown your way.
When next you feel like you are not cut out for any God-assigned task,
remember that God who chose you is with you and will never leave your side. He
is allowing you to go through the ‘fire’ to refine your strength and make you
come out as pure gold. Hang in there, soldier of Christ. You’ve got this.
Prayers: Dear Lord, thank You for Your
ever-loving presence. Thank You for being my God. I call to You this day for a
renewal of Your strength in me so that I can stay through this challenging
situation. I know that by Your grace, the result of this would be a better and
more refined person that You would be proud of. In Jesus’ name, I pray, amen.
