EXERCISE: Physical exercise vs. Spiritual exercise (Pt. 3)

So we are still on the topic for this first month of 2018, and this is the third installment. If you haven't read parts one and two please read here and here

One definition of exercise says; "Something performed or practiced in order to develop, improve, or display a specific capability or skill."

3.   IT REQUIRES SACRIFICE
If you're not ready to make worthy sacrifices please don't bother imagining growth. When on the pathway to spiritual maturity/fitness, your whole life becomes sacrificial. You are no longer living for yourself but you become a vessel which God uses at His will. You sacrifice your time to be there for others, you sacrifice sleep to spend more time seeking God's face, you sacrifice your financial resources to meet the needs of God's kingdom, you even sacrifice your desires to be where God wants you to be. God showed us the perfect example of sacrifice by giving His son, Jesus Christ, to be the Sacrificial Lamb for us all. In the same way, physical fitness requires sacrifices. You sacrifice that TV show just to be able to workout before sleep calls. You sacrifice getting to your friend's party on time because you don't want to leave your house without doing your 20 minutes dance fitness with Tamara 😊. And when you get to the party, you even sacrifice eating small chops because you're on a journey to slay the fat in your tummy! You cannot just live anyhow, you must sacrifice the good for the great because you know the results your spirit, soul and body needs.
Are you on this fitness journey with me? Do you want to exercise your spirit as well as your body so that you become the better version of you? Then make sacrifices that will take you closer to your purpose. You can do it. Yes, you can!
